We’re heading back to the 1990s for this one and what many would agree was the best TV comedy ever made. Featuring the lead characters Hyacinth and Richard Bucket, pronounced Bouquet, this lady was known as the local snob and was avoided by everyone at all costs. Her husband however was very down to earth and most people felt sorry for him.
The poor next door neighbour Elizabeth was always being invited around for coffee but she got so nervous that she always dropped her cup!
You can’t forget the many occasions when Hyacinth was embarrassed by her sister Daisy and brother in law Onslow and always made a point of pretending she didn’t know them.
Last of all in this trip back down memory lane to happier times was her telephone manner. The Bouquet residence, the lady of the house speaking!
